AirPods have become a popular choice among users for seamless audio experience and convenience. However, some users may encounter issues like white noise. White noise is a constant background noise that can be disruptive for many users. Worry not, as we are here to help you with a simple and step-by-step guide to turn off white noise on AirPods.

  1. Update your AirPods and connected devices: Make sure your AirPods, iPhone, or other connected devices are running the latest software to ensure stability and avoid any known glitches that may cause white noise.

  2. Clean your AirPods: Built-up debris and dirt can lead to poor sound quality and may cause white noise. Gently clean the speaker grills using a dry and soft-bristled brush to remove any accumulated debris.

  3. Reset your AirPods: Disconnect and reset your AirPods to resolve any connection or pairing issues that may lead to white noise. To do this, go to Settings > Bluetooth on your iPhone and tap the i icon beside your AirPods. Tap Forget This Device and confirm your action. Reset your AirPods by placing them in the charging case, closing the lid, and waiting for 30 seconds. Reopen the lid, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes amber and then white. Reconnect your AirPods to your device.

  4. Disable Noise Cancellation: Noise cancellation can sometimes create white noise, especially in quiet environments. To disable it, go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > turn off Noise Cancellation.

  5. Contact Apple Support: If the above methods do not resolve the issue, it is advisable to contact Apple Support for further troubleshooting or potential hardware repairs.

Now that you know how to turn off white noise on AirPods, you can enjoy your audio content without any disturbances. Remember to keep your devices updated and maintain your AirPods' cleanliness to prevent such issues from arising in the future.
